March 2008

A few months ago I joined a networking group called CREATE Networking. It’s a small group of women who get together once a month to talk about business and life and how we can help eachother succeed. It’s a great little group and so much fun.

I thought I would post about it here in case there are other women who would like to learn more about this group. To learn more and to find out how you can be a member check out their blog at http://createnetworking.blogspot.com/.

Wouldn’t it be great if others could help you purchase the album of your dreams? Or get that wall canvas that you’ve been eyeing? Or just help out with the purchase of prints after your wedding? Well now they can!!

A few  weeks ago I installed a new proofing system into my website. This system is more integrated into my website and is super easy to use. A great new benefit of this system is the registry. This feature allows friends and family to put money into your account in any amount, so that you can use that money after your wedding day. You can use this money towards your final prints, upgrading your album, purchasing thank-you postcards, canvas gallery wraps or any other product I offer. The money in your registry must be used in full on product or after wedding services such as a Trash the Dress/Bridal session and cannot be given out as cash. The registry can only be used after your wedding day and can not be used to upgrade to a higher package but if you chose a package, for example, that did not include an album, you could use this money towards getting one!

If you are currently one of my brides or grooms and would like to sign up for a registry, just go to my website, www.katielewisphotography.com and click on the proofing section. In the upper right there is a button called ‘Registry’. From there you can create an account. When people want to add money to your account, they can go to the same area and either type in the large registry number you were given or they can use your email address to find your account. I recommend giving out the email address you used simply because the registry number is quite large and can be easy to get wrong or to forget. Just be sure that everyone knows the email address you used for your registry so they are able to access it.

If you would like small cards made with your registry information to include with your invitations, please email me. The cards come in quantities of 100, 250 & 500. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery. This is free of charge when you sign up for a registry!

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope you all enjoy this new feature!

Well I’ve been pretty busy lately and it looks like this summer will be a busy one! I’m really looking forward to spring so that I can get to shooting some engagement pictures and really get to know some of the brides and grooms a bit more before their wedding day! I’m in the process of working on some new images right now that I will hopefully be ready to unveil this weekend and a new type of photography that I am really excited about offering to my female clients! So until then I decided to post some old photos from my days at Hallmark Institute of Photography. Here are a few portraits from those glorious and stressful days!
